Dry Oatmeal
Most people already know that a morning bowl of cooked oatmeal is one of the best carbohydrate sources around. The problem with oatmeal is that it tends to fill you up very quickly without many calories because it holds so much water when cooked.
If you’re aiming to take in a good 300 calories from carbohydrates during your morning meal, this may be next to impossible without feeling like you may just explode. To get around this problem, consider having it dry instead.
Those same 300 calories of dry oatmeal would only equate to about one cup of raw oats, so would be much more tolerable. Pour half a cup of skim milk over it, toss in a few berries, and you have a good morning meal ready in seconds.
Nuts
It’s surprising how many people overlook nuts as one of the best muscle building foods available. They’re extremely calorie dense, filled with protein and healthy fats, and can be placed in a small container to snack on in between meals for a quick calorie boost. No Nonsense Muscle building for the busy executive is not just relegated to romantic leading men in movies and novels. They do exist although there are not a lot of them. Being a busy executive already gives visuals of stress and lousy food as well as unhealthy lifestyles.

Being an executive means that there is not much time left for a life! Some complain that they have no life except for work and socializing connected to work. This type of lifestyle speaks of lack of sleep, junk food, lack of exercise, lack of a healthy diet as well as unhealthy habits like caffeine and cigarettes.
But fear not, there is still hope out there for the busy executive who wants to get rid of their jelly bellies and their thin bodies. The first step to muscle building for the busy executive is to make a conscious decision to do something about their health and their physique.
Once that conscious decision is made, the next step would be is to have a change of lifestyle. Avoidance of caffeine may be deemed impossible but it is achievable, quitting smoking will be even more impossible but also quite achievable again. Once those two poisons leave the system, the third step can be attempted.
Third step is of course, diet. No more burgers and late night pizza, delicious and filling they may be. No more beer or alcohol to accompany these triglyceride ladened foods and of course, no more late nights at the club inhaling second hand smoke that not only make your hair smell like an ashtray but makes your lungs black.
Once the poisons are leeching out the next step would be to eating more fruits and vegetables and enrolling in a good workout program. There are some claims that say the muscle building can be achieved by simply working out 7 minutes a day. I really doubt those claims, but then again if they worked for other why not. The point is workout. Run, lift, walk, just move it.
Moving muscles, and I mean all the muscle groups and not just the slow ones, is the key to muscle building. If you don’t move, they won’t improve. So with a healthy diet, take time out, even for just a few minutes every day and just work those muscles. Before you know it, the muscles will start to build up and your body will look better. On top of that, you will feel better.

Any kind of competition requires a healthy mind and body. And one should be definitely fit if it is for the Masson Dixon Festival.

Preparing one’s self for a competition takes more than a good diet to keep you fit and healthy. Even Olympian Michael Phelps who has, overall, won 16 Olympic medals – 8 of which he won in a single Olympics (2008 Beijing Games) undergoes different schemes just to keep himself fit.
But of course, we could not be as athletic as he is if we would not start keeping ourselves fit in our own easy ways.
For one, we could look into our diet. Most fitness gurus consider this as the most important aspect in keeping fit. It principally depends on the kind of physical activity that we do. A balanced diet should provide calories as it fuels our body the energy we need. A balanced diet must have carbohydrates that we could get from flour and rice, fat, proteins that can be found in poultry and dairy products, minerals, vitamins and fibre. Of course, never forget to drink lots of water.
Also, we could have a good workout. With a good workout, we could lose weight and at the same time gain muscles. We can try brisk walking for a start. To make it easier, we could choose a sport that we like and which is easy for us. More comfortably is to workout with our partner who could be our friends so it won’t be boring.
Another is by considering our mental health. Nothing feels so rejuvenating than being able to dedicate a time everyday to take a break from our worries and concerns. We could practice by daydreaming, facing our problems, and sharing humour. Even our hobbies can free us from the pressures of our daily responsibilities.
Lastly, we should observe some pre-emptive measures. Doctors have always advised us to have a yearly check-up. Observing this could help us guard ourselves from suffering illnesses that we don’t know we have. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.

Mason Dixon Park
In Mt. Morris, Greene County, Pennsylvania, Mason Dixon Park has annual Mason Dixon festivals to honor and celebrate the traditions that family and neighbors have done for generations. The 28th annual Frontier Festival is beginning December 28th, 2010 at 10am. This festival will honor frontier folk life and their history.
There’s so much to do, see and learn. That anybody looking to get in shape will have an excellent opportunity. With all the walking seeing musicians perform to walking to a vendor to freshen up with water. The terrain varies and will challenge your calve and thigh muscles while having to get used from walking on flat terrain, to grassy hills, even over some pretty rough ground. Not only will you be working your cardiovascular but your mind as well. There will be plenty to learn, for the theme of this festival is the Civil War and there are people are dressed in that era and can answer any questions that you may have.

Visitors that flock the area are treated with the plethora of visual and aromatic attractions that assaults the senses. This is a time where the people in and around West Virginia participate in the parades and pageants that showcase the history and culture of Morgantown.
The pageantry alone draws people far and wide including politicians and local celebrities who would not dream of missing out on the festival. The baking competitions draw even more crowds especially as they get the chance to try out the different baked goods that the men and women of Morgantown had created exclusively for the festival.
A bonus to the whole festival is that visitors would not have to worry about costs when they reach the festival grounds, admissions are free. Even those who participate in the events do so for free and those who do sell their wares are asked to donate a prize for the door prizes.
